Product Details

Durable V6 Titanium Nozzle 0.4mm for Abrasive 1.75mm 3D Printing

The V6 Titanium Nozzle 0.4mm is an abrasive-resistant 3D printer nozzle designed for compatible M6 threaded V6-style and E3D-style hotends using 1.75mm filament. This nozzle is useful for demanding filament materials that can quickly wear out standard brass nozzles, including carbon fiber-filled, wood-filled, glow-in-the-dark, and other abrasive composite filaments.

Your current dnb3D product page lists this nozzle as an E3D aftermarket replica with an M6 thread, 1.75mm filament compatibility, high corrosion resistance, high rust resistance, a non-stick surface, high hardness and wear resistance, and a maximum temperature rating of 500°C. The 0.4mm nozzle size is one of the most common choices for balancing detail, strength, print speed, and everyday usability.

Built for Abrasive Filaments

Abrasive filaments can wear brass nozzles quickly, changing the nozzle opening and reducing print accuracy over time. A V6 Titanium Nozzle 0.4mm provides improved wear resistance compared with standard brass, making it a better option for materials such as carbon fiber-filled filament, wood-filled filament, glow-in-the-dark filament, and other filled or abrasive blends.

0.4mm Nozzle for Everyday Printing Balance

The 0.4mm nozzle size is widely used because it offers a practical balance between print detail, flow rate, strength, and print speed. It works well for general printer maintenance, prototypes, functional parts, and abrasive filament prints where you still want a standard nozzle diameter rather than moving to a larger high-flow size.

M6 E3D-Style Hotend Compatibility

This nozzle uses an M6 thread and is listed as an E3D aftermarket replica. It is intended for compatible V6-style or E3D-style hotends that accept standard M6 nozzles for 1.75mm filament. Before ordering or installing, confirm your hotend type, thread size, nozzle length, heater block style, and filament diameter. A mismatched nozzle can cause leaks, poor heat transfer, clogging, or heater block damage.

Titanium Nozzle Benefits

Titanium nozzles are used when a stronger, more wear-resistant nozzle material is preferred over brass. This product is listed with high corrosion resistance, high rust resistance, high hardness, high wear resistance, and a non-stick surface. Compared with brass, titanium can transfer heat differently, so temperature, speed, or flow tuning may be needed after changing nozzle material.

Rated Up to 500°C

Your product page lists this nozzle with a maximum temperature rating of 500°C. Always stay within the safe operating limits of your hotend, thermistor, heater cartridge, heat break, printer firmware, and filament. High-temperature printing should only be done on a properly configured printer with compatible components.

Technical Reference

Nozzle material, nozzle size, hotend compatibility, and print settings all affect extrusion quality, wear resistance, flow, and print reliability. For general hotend and nozzle compatibility information, see the E3D V6 assembly and nozzle reference.

Installation & Care

Confirm Hotend Compatibility

Before installing the V6 Titanium Nozzle 0.4mm, confirm that your printer uses a compatible M6 threaded V6-style or E3D-style hotend for 1.75mm filament. Check hotend type, thread compatibility, nozzle length, heater block style, and filament diameter before installation.

Install Carefully to Avoid Cross-Threading

Start the nozzle by hand whenever possible. If the nozzle does not thread in smoothly, stop and check alignment. Cross-threading can damage the titanium nozzle, heater block, or hotend assembly.

Hot-Tighten Using Proper Printer Procedure

Many V6-style hotends require the nozzle to be tightened at printing temperature so the nozzle seals correctly against the heat break. Follow your printer or hotend manufacturer’s procedure. Use controlled torque and avoid over-tightening to prevent hotend leaks or heater block damage.

Tune Temperature and Flow if Needed

Titanium transfers heat differently than brass. If you are switching from a brass nozzle, test your print settings and adjust temperature, speed, flow, or retraction if needed. Watch for under-extrusion, poor layer bonding, or inconsistent flow when changing nozzle material.

Use for Abrasive Filaments

This nozzle is especially useful for abrasive materials such as carbon fiber-filled, wood-filled, glow-in-the-dark, and other composite filaments. Even with titanium, abrasive materials can still require regular inspection, correct print temperatures, and clean filament handling.

Stay Within Temperature Limits

This nozzle is listed with a maximum temperature rating of 500°C. Do not exceed the safe limits of your nozzle, hotend, thermistor, heater cartridge, heat break, firmware configuration, PTFE path if present, or filament. High-temperature printing should only be done on a properly configured printer.

Keep the Nozzle Clean

Keep the nozzle tip free from burnt filament, debris, and residue. Use appropriate cleaning methods for your filament and printer. Avoid aggressive scraping that could damage the nozzle tip or sealing surface.

Inspect for Wear or Clogs

If prints show inconsistent extrusion, poor surface finish, under-extrusion, blobs, stringing, or dimensional issues after tuning, inspect the nozzle for wear, contamination, or clogging. Titanium offers better wear resistance than brass, but it should still be maintained and replaced when performance drops.
