Product Details

MEAN WELL LRS-200-24 Power Supply — 24V 8.8A 211.2W

The MEAN WELL LRS-200 power supply is an enclosed AC/DC single-output power supply for compatible electronics, control panels, 3D printer builds, CNC-style equipment, LED systems, automation projects, and other 24V DC applications. This version is listed on dnb3D as a 211.2W, 24V, 8.8A power supply with a selectable 115VAC / 230VAC input switch.

MEAN WELL LRS-200 Power Supply for 24V DC Systems

The LRS-200 series is designed for single-output DC power applications where a compact enclosed supply is required. With a 24V output and 8.8A current rating, this unit can be used in compatible machine builds, printer electronics, control boxes, lighting systems, and equipment projects where the voltage, current, load type, and wiring requirements match the design.

Selectable 115V / 230V AC Input

The current product page lists the input as 115VAC or 230VAC, selected by switch. Always confirm the correct input setting before powering the supply. Incorrect input selection can damage equipment or create a safety hazard.

Fanless 1U Low-Profile Design

This MEAN WELL LRS-200 power supply uses free-air convection cooling and a metallic mesh case to support heat dissipation without a fan. The low-profile 1U enclosure is useful for compact control panels, electronics bays, machine frames, and printer builds where space and airflow need to be considered.

Built-In Electrical Protections

The live product page lists protection features for short circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature conditions. It also lists a power-on LED indicator, no-load power consumption under 0.75W, 100% full-load burn-in testing, and a 3-year warranty.

Installation Safety Matters

This power supply connects to AC mains voltage and should be installed only by someone familiar with safe electrical wiring practices. Confirm enclosure grounding, wire gauge, fusing, ventilation, terminal protection, strain relief, and load requirements before installation.

Common Uses

  • 24V 3D printer electronics and motion systems
  • CNC-style control boxes and machine wiring
  • Automation and equipment control panels
  • LED lighting and low-voltage DC projects
  • Electronics repairs or replacements where 24V 8.8A output is required
  • Custom machine builds where power requirements are verified

Installation & Care

Installation

  • Confirm that the 24V output, 8.8A current rating, and 211.2W power rating match your application before installation.
  • Set the 115VAC / 230VAC input selector switch correctly before applying power.
  • Install inside a suitable enclosure or protected location according to your project’s electrical safety requirements.
  • Use proper wire gauge, fusing, grounding, strain relief, and terminal protection for the load and input wiring.
  • Maintain adequate airflow around the metallic mesh case for free-air convection cooling.
  • Do not work on live wiring. Disconnect power before installation, inspection, or replacement.
  • For mains-voltage wiring or safety-critical applications, installation should be performed by a qualified electrical technician.

Handling

  • Handle the power supply carefully to avoid damaging the terminals, case, selector switch, or internal components.
  • Keep the unit dry and protected from metal chips, dust, oil, moisture, and conductive debris.
  • Do not block ventilation openings or cover the mesh case during operation.
  • Inspect before installation and do not use if the case, terminals, switch, or markings appear damaged.

  • Periodically inspect wiring terminals, mounting screws, grounding, and ventilation clearance.
  • Check for signs of overheating, discoloration, loose terminals, unusual noise, or intermittent output.
  • Keep the surrounding enclosure clean so dust and debris do not restrict airflow.
  • Replace the power supply if it becomes damaged, overheated, unstable, or no longer provides correct output after wiring and load conditions have been verified.
