Product Details

9mm GT2 Timing Belt — Open-Ended 2mm Pitch

The 9mm GT2 timing belt is an open-ended synchronous belt for compatible linear motion and mechanical drive systems. With a 9 mm width and 2 mm GT2 pitch, this timing belt is commonly used in 3D printers, CNC-style machines, motion platforms, gantries, and other equipment where accurate belt-driven movement is required.

9mm GT2 Timing Belt for Linear Motion Systems

This open-ended GT2 timing belt is useful for motion systems that require a wider belt for compatible belt paths, pulleys, idlers, and drive assemblies. It can be cut to the required length for compatible belt-driven axes, carriages, gantries, and custom mechanical systems.

Fiberglass-Reinforced Belt Construction

The current product page lists a rubber belt body with nylon tooth facing and fiberglass reinforcement. This construction helps support stable tooth engagement, flexibility, and strength for compatible low-speed and high-torque mechanical transmission applications.

Open-Ended Belt Sold by the Centimeter

This 9mm GT2 timing belt is sold by the centimeter, making it easy to order only the length required for a repair, replacement, upgrade, or custom belt path. Measure your required belt length carefully before ordering and allow extra length where clamping, tensioning, or routing requires it.

Temperature Range

The listed operating temperature range is -35°F to +180°F or approximately -34°C to +82°C. Confirm that this range is suitable for your machine, enclosure temperature, and operating environment before installation.

Common Uses

  • 3D printer motion systems
  • CNC-style belt-driven axes
  • Linear motion carriages and gantries
  • Motion platforms and positioning systems
  • Replacement belts for compatible GT2 drive systems
  • Custom mechanical transmission and equipment projects

Installation & Care

Installation

  • Confirm that 9 mm width and 2 mm GT2 pitch are compatible with your pulleys, idlers, cls, and motion system before installation.
  • Measure the required belt length carefully before ordering, including any extra length needed for cls or tensioning.
  • Cut the belt cleanly and squarely to help it seat properly in cls or belt anchors.
  • Install with proper belt tension. A belt that is too loose may skip teeth, while a belt that is too tight can add wear to bearings, motors, and pulleys.
  • Check pulley alignment so the belt tracks cleanly without rubbing against flanges, frame parts, or brackets.

Handling

  • Avoid kinking, crushing, twisting, or sharply folding the belt.
  • Keep the belt clean and free from oil, grease, metal chips, abrasive dust, and filament debris.
  • Do not drag the tooth side across sharp edges or rough surfaces.
  • Store unused belt in a loose coil away from excessive heat, UV exposure, and chemical contamination.

Care

  • Inspect periodically for worn teeth, frayed edges, cracking, glazing, or stretching.
  • Recheck belt tension after installation and after the first period of use if the machine requires it.
  • Replace the belt if motion becomes inconsistent, if teeth are damaged, or if the belt no longer holds tension properly.
  • Keep pulleys and idlers clean to help maintain smooth, consistent belt movement.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Turnaround Times

At dnb3D, we don’t just ship boxes—we manufacture solutions. Operating our Industry 4.0 micro-factory in Marathon, Ontario, means your order is handled by the same people who design and test these components.
